The 1,000 seat Marita Hynes Field at the OU Softball Complex opened the 2009 Spring season with a new 5,400 sq. ft. heated and air conditioned practice facility, part of a Master Plan by OU A&E Services and Triad. Located in the northeast corner of the park, the practice area for the 2007 Big 12 Championship Team contains three full-size hitting and pitching lanes. The exclusive Women's Complex was designed by Triad and opened in 1998 to support the sport's booming popularity and record setting attendance. Future plans are for an expansion of the stadium and press box with additional parking and sidewalks.

The stadium currently includes permanent chair back and bleacher grandstand seating, concessions building, three-story press box, ticket office and VIP lounges. An advanced technology underground drainage system, sprinkler system, covered team dugouts, public restrooms, 100-foot lighting poles, and batting cages. Recent Triad Design modifications are new OU Sooners' locker room facilities and remodeled umpire and visitor's locker rooms.
