BLOODY RUSH CREEK BRIDGE
ODOT
The first completed segment of Triad Design improvements to ODOT’s State Highway 74 Corridor Project (Portland Avenue in Oklahoma City) was the replacement of the Bloody Rush Creek Bridge, which was high on the state’s list of the Load Posted Bridges. The new bridge is a three span AASHTO Type III integral design structure with a 10° skew and an 82’ clear roadway width.
The project segment included the bridge and adjacent highway widening to five lanes at the Oklahoma County and Logan County Line. Traffic on the highway is projected to increase dramatically as the east-west Covell Corridor, currently under construction, links SH 74 to US Interstate 35.
