CLOVERLEAF CREEK
THE CITY OF OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA
Triad was hired to design improvements to the flood prone Cloverleaf Creek Corridor. Decades of continued urbanization increased storm water runoff resulting in the creek’s frequent and severe flooding of adjacent neighborhoods at NW 54th between Pennsylvania and May Avenues and north of the Northwest Expressway.
Triad’s services included the analysis of existing channel conditions, recommendations for improving conveyance and storage in the channel, and the replacement of existing bridge structures. Triad also prepared a drainage study and plans for construction of gabion basket, concrete channel improvements, and placement of a double 12’ x 8’ x 1450’ reinforced concrete box under an existing residential street.
The project was designed and constructed in phases and included a Corps of Engineers 404 Permit, right-of-way description and maps, and relocation of waterline and sewer line. Upgrades to the creek corridor were:
- Concrete Channel Improvements
- Cast-In-Place Reinforced Concrete Box Construction
- Roadway Removal and Replacement
- Relocation of Sanitary Sewer and Service Connections
- HEC Analysis
- Relocation of Waterline
- Water Main Installation
- Activation of New Main
- Transfer of Services
- Cut and Plug Existing Mains
- Street and Driveway Repair
- Right-of-Way Cleanup
